BOX SCORE · SIM VS REAL

How it works. Every carry, target, catch, drop, sack and interception in each starter's real stat line for the week becomes one play, at its real yardage. The kicker's field goals come from the distance buckets he actually kicked from. The fantasy DEF supplies the sacks and picks against the other side.

A director arranges those plays into drives that obey the rules: four downs, ten yards, nobody but a touchdown crosses the goal line. Where a drive needs a snap no starter's line can supply, an unrostered teammate takes it. That player never counts toward fantasy stats. When the rules push a starter's yards off his real total, a marks it in the box score.

Uniforms. Offenses wear their fantasy team's colors. Defenses wear the real NFL colors of that team's fantasy DEF, because the sacks and picks came from that NFL team's game. So a team looks different on each side of the ball: in Week 2, a team whose fantasy DEF is Denver defends in Broncos orange.

Any Sleeper league. Type a username to find your leagues, or paste a league ID. Every matchup of every scored week is playable, and ★ marks your team. A week still being played uses the stat lines so far. Each game has its own link to send around. Data comes straight from Sleeper's public API, and nothing is stored anywhere but your browser.

Fantasy mode switches the scoreboard to running fantasy points under the league's scoring. Each play shows what it earned, and the totals land exactly on Sleeper's numbers at the final whistle. A few points belong to no single play, such as a defense's points-allowed tier. Those arrive at the whistle with the reason attached. Click any name in the box score to see every play that scored for them, and jump to it.

The crawl along the bottom of the field runs like a broadcast ticker. It carries every fantasy point as it's earned, with the reason, plus touchdowns and field goals with the new score. Between plays it shows both teams' running fantasy totals.

Click any play in the play-by-play, drag the timeline, or use the arrow keys to move through the game. While paused, a jump plays that one snap and holds.

Sound is 8-bit, synthesized in the page from NES-style square, triangle and noise channels. It starts on your first click, and the speaker at the top right mutes it. In fantasy mode a coin rings when points land.

New game reshuffles the same stat lines into a different game. The final score can't change, because the touchdowns and field goals are real.
